Leroy Robert Engram
Milltown, Bay d’Espoir
May 17, 1964 - July 4, 2022

It is with sad hearts that Leroy’s family announce his peaceful passing on July 4, 2022 at the Central Health Centre in Grand Falls, Newfoundland. He fought a valiant battle against cancer for the past three years. He lived every day with a smile on his face and always responded that he was “good” when everyone around him knew that he was in pain.

He leaves to mourn his sisters and brothers: Melvin (Pearl), Richard (Marie), Norma (Junior), Rose (Eric), Marie and Dale; his nieces and nephews, Pamela (Ian), Renee (Eric), Mark (Ashley), Peter (Lihsuan), Jeffrey (Lorraine), Steven (Shannon), Beth (Ryan) and Austin; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Annabelle, Bridget, Harrison, Gerrit, Sophia, Jacob, Simeon, Jack and a very large circle of friends.

Leroy was predeceased by his parents, Audrey and Sandy, his niece, Krista and his nephews, Kevin, Oliver and Luke.

Leroy was a loving brother and best friend to his sister, Marie. He was the best uncle in the world to his many nieces and nephews. They were very important to him! He was the first in line to give a helping hand and couldn’t say “No”! Leroy epitomized the phrase “only the good die young!”

His family extends special thanks to the staff at the Cancer Centre, the staff in the Emergency Unit and especially the nurses on 3A for such care and compassion.

There will be visitation on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Christ Church Chapel. The funeral will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Christ Church, Milltown, Newfoundland.
