With heavy hearts and great sadness the family of Marie Bond, age 66, of Harbour Breton, is sad to announce her passing on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Health Sciences Center in St. John’s, with her loving family by her side.

Marie leaves to mourn her loving husband, Lorne of 35 years; sons, Lorne (Jr.) and Neil (Holly) at Harbour Breton; brother, Allan Day at Harbour Breton; sisters, Blanche (Fred) Thorne at Burnt Islands, Mildred (Jim) Hynes at St. John’s and Marjorie (Eric) Day at Harbour Breton; mother in law, Susie Thorne at Burnt Islands; sisters in law, Jean Day at Harbour Breton, Marilyn Day at Florence, NS, Valenia (Clyde) Billard and Wanda (Bruce) Bryan all at Burnt Islands; brothers in law, Robbie (Denise) Bond at Burnt Islands and Boyd (Tracy) Bond at Eastern Passage, NS; as well as a large circle of nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, Henry Day and Edith (Neil) Day; sisters, Gladys (Roy) Payne and Lydia (Vincent) Mullins; brothers, John H. Day and William Day; sister in law, Margaret Day; nephew, Vernon Day; fathers in law, Albert Bond and Theodore Thorne.

Visitation took place at Spencer’s Funeral Home Chapel at Harbour Breton on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 and Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. COVID-19 regulations were followed.

Funeral Service was held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis and Rev. Hubert Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
