Obituary for Mamie Grandy

Passed peacefully away at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Saturday, June 14, 2014, Mrs. Mamie Grandy, age 88 years of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn her loving family: children, twin children, Leo and Leah with whom she resided, Goldie Quann (Sandy), George Grandy (Joan), Raymond Grandy (Linda) all at Harbour Breton, Mona Rose (John) at English Harbour West and Sadie Martin (Leo) at Harbour Breton; daughter in law, Anne Grandy at Harbour Breton; brother, George Griffin (Eileen) at Harbour Breton; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren; plus a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her husband, Lloyd, in 1997; son, Joey, in 2012; granddaughter, Jodine, in 1983; parents, Phoebe and Bertram Griffin; brothers, Kenneth and Donald Griffin; sister, Mary Harris.

Funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
