Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Dinah Elizabeth Greene, passed peacefully away on March 3, 2023 at the Carmelite House, Palliative Care Unit in Grand Falls Windsor, with her family by her side.

Dinah, was born in Mosquito to James and Mariah Bobbett, on August 27, 1933; she moved to Gaultois at the age of 16. Dinah met her husband James Greene and was married at the age of 19. Together they raised their family in Gaultois, a community she called home.

Dinah was preceded in death by her husband, James, son, Kenneth, daughter, Doris, brother, John, father in law, Henry and mother in law, Elizabeth.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, son, Earl (Mildred), son in law, (Cecil), brother, Matthew (Elsie), sister in law, and friend, Jenny; grandchildren, Daphne (Todd), Pansy (Rob), Rhea (Albert), Yolanda (Jimmy), and Craig; great grandchildren, Victor, Gabrielle, Katelyn, Kenneth, James, Noah and Trent; great great granddaughter, Charlotte; and many family and friends.

Dinah was a fiercely independent woman. She loved to knit, crochet, play bingo, darts and have a game of cards. In recent years, Dinah was cared for by her amazing home support team of Caring Hands; Bonnie, Audrey, and Judy. They cared for her, took care of her daily needs, and spent many hours enjoying a game of cards, and for that, her family is truly grateful.

Funeral Service took place at the St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Gaultois, on Sunday, March 5th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
