Passed peacefully away at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Louis Mackey, age 67 years, of Hermitage, formerly of Melrose, Trinity Bay.

Louis leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories; his common law spouse, Olive Jane Poole; step daughters, Leanne Poole at Belleoram and Tammy (Jamie) Myles at Grand Falls-Windsor; sisters, Cecilia Donovan, Angela (Jim) Furlong, Gertie (Sam) Walsh, Dorothy (Ken) Hiscock, Judy (Leo) Humby, Florence (Cliff) Mackey and Ruth Mackey; brothers, Kyran, Andrew, Vincent and Tony (Marilyn) Mackey; step grandchildren, Tobias, Amelia and James; special niece, Sandra (Scott) Sweetland; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Louis was predeceased by his parents, Callahan and Josephine Mackey; brothers, William and Richard Mackey; sisters, Annie Mackey and Elizabeth Eddy.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
