Obituary for Meta Rosanna Bullen

It is with great sadness that the family of Meta Rosanna Bullen announces her passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, age 98 years of Harbour Breton.

Meta leaves to mourn her loving family: daughter, Maisie Mullins (George) at Milltown; son, Fred Bullen (Prudence) at Green’s Harbour; special niece, Audrey Wells (Doug) at Harbour Breton; sister, Beryl Rose at St. John’s; brother, Sam Ridgley (Faye) at Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Joe Mullins (Joanne) at Bay Roberts, Alisa Marshall (Mike) at North Carolina, Fred Bullen Jr. at Saudi Arabia, George Mullins (Diane) at Harbour Breton, Wendy Snook (Randy) at Kelligrews; grand son in law, Sam Skinner; great grandchildren, Sheena Skinner, Steven Skinner (Heidi), Abbie Mullins, Danielle Kent (Patrick), Nathan Marshall, Noah Mullins, Elizabeth Mullins and Ethan Miller; great great grandchildren, Emily, Sara and Charlotte; caregivers and friends at Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center; as well as a large circle of family and friends.

Meta was predeceased by her parents; husband, Captain Josiah Bullen; sisters, Hilda Mary Crant and Cora Buglar; brothers, John Ridgley, Calvin Ridgley, Reginald Ridgley and Sidney Ridgley; granddaughter, Marina Skinner; and great grand daughter, Sarah Mullins.

Meta was an active member of the ACW, LOBA, and St. Bartholomew’s choir.

Visitation took place on Wednesday, December 21 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and Thursday, December 22 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Spencer’s Funeral Home at Harbour Breton.

Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 1:00pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
