It is with great sadness that the family of Ida Pierce announces her passing at the Central Newfoundland Health Care Center at Grand Falls-Windsor on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, age 75 years, formerly of Femme and resettled to Grand Le Pierre.

Ida leaves to mourn her loving family: Daphne (George), Denise and special son, Larry (Juanita) at Brooks, AB; grandchildren, Craig, Dimitri (Taylor) and Grant; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Rosalie, Harrison and Noah; brothers, Wilson Evans (Beatrice) at Grand Le Pierre, Leo Evans (Kim) at Happy Valley-Goose Bay; sister, Gladys Evans Dicks at Port aux Basques; sister in law, Wilhelmina Evans at Grand Le Pierre; brother in law, Jacob Simms at Harbour Breton; as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.

Ida was predeceased by her husband, Walter; parents, Wilson and Elizabeth Evans; parents in law, Harrison and Sarah Pierce; brothers, Arthur Evans, Clyde Evans, Gilbert Evans and special brother, Freeman Thomas Evans; sister, Loretta Strickland; sisters in law, Marion and Harriett Evans; other Pierce and Evans family members.

Visitation took place at Spencer’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 14 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Family Service took place at 7:00pm.

Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 2:00pm at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Inurnment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbpur Breton.
