It is with great sadness that the family of George Reuben Roberts announces his passing at the Health Sciences Center at St. John’s on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, age 83 years of Hermitage.

George leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Doris; children, Leveson (Elaine) at Harbour Breton, Jeffery (Darlene) at Hermitage, Darrell (Tim) at St. John’s, Sabrina (Wilson) at Seal Cove, Christopher (Joy) at Dartmouth, NS and Colleen at Burnaby, BC; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brothers, Wilfred (Martha), Bill (Debbie), Roy (Janet), all at Hermitage; brothers in law, Gerald (Dorothy), Chesley (Leona), Harold (Joan), all at Marystown and Leveson (Marie) at Harbour Breton; sisters in law, Mary (Reg) at Kilbride, Beatrice and Emily at Marystown; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends.

George was predeceased by his son, George; parents, Otto and Violet Roberts; brother, Chatt; sister, Betty; parents in law, John and Mary; sister in law, Elizabeth; brothers in law, Clayton and Reuben; and other relatives.

Visitation took place at St. Saviour’s Haven at Hermitage on Thursday, September 15 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Friday, September 16 from 10:00 am to 12 noon and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Family Service was held on Friday night.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Hermitage-Sandyville.
