Obituary for Ernest Abraham Day

It is with great sadness that the family of Ernest Abraham Day announces his passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center at Harbour Breton on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, age 83 years of Harbour Breton.

Ernest leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Phyllis, 61 years married; son and best friend, Todd (wife, Colleen) at Harbour Breton, whom he adored like his own daughter; granddaughter, Rebecca (boyfriend, Taylor) at St. John’s, who was the sunshine of his life; brothers, Norman (Lillian) at Louisbourg, NS and Samuel (Elizabeth) at Harbour Breton; sister, Laura at Harbour Breton; sisters in law, Gussie Kendell at Milltown and Shirley Pierce (Arthur) at Harbour Breton; as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.

Ernest was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Rosanna Day; brother, Bert Day; nephew Jason.

Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 12 at 2:00 pm at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church, Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating.
