It is with great sadness that the family of Mabel Margaret Tibbo announces her passing at her family’s residence at St. John’s on Sunday, June 19, 2022, age 85 years, formerly of Harbour Breton.

Mabel Margaret leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her loving family: sons. Tom (Claris), Rodney (Carrie) and Henry; daughters, Bernice (Everett), Yvonne (Walt), Wanda (Charles), Pamela (Fred), Valerie (Randy), Cynthia (Joe), Lisa (Aloysius), Tracy (Rodney) and Gwendolyn (Kim); brothers, Calvin (Connie) and Benjamin (Amy); brothers in law, Wilson (Lillian) and William; sisters in law, Bernice (Bob) and Shirley; special friend, Irene Banfield; 29 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; as well as a number of other family members and friends.

Mabel Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; parents, Henry and Julia Banfield; parents in law, Philip and Elsie Tibbo; sister, Leah Cross; brother, Joseph Banfield; brothers in law, Roy Tibbo, Basil Tibbo, Alexander Tibbo, John Hardy, Cecil Cross and Sam Smith; sisters in law, Joan Banfield, Lydia Hardy and Juanita Tibbo; son in law, Gerard Smith; very dear friend, Dot Skinner.

Visitation took place on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 and Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Spencer’s Funeral Home at Harbour Breton from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm both days.

Funeral Service was held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 2:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
