Obituary for Albert James Oakey

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Albert James Oakey of St. Jacques announces his passing at his home on Tuesday, December 7th, 2021, at the age of 79.

Albert leaves to mourn his loving family: wife, Lorina; son, Albert (Pauline); daughters, Mildred (Pierre), Elizabeth (Scott), Gail (Darrell), Carol-Ann (Roy) and the apple of his eye, Edele; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn; brothers, Ron, Roy, Dan and Len; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Albert was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Robert Oakey; brother, Robert Oakey.

Visitation took place on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Anglican Church at St. Jacques from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Vax Passes and Masks will be required.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm from the Anglican Church at St. Jacques with Father David Joy officiating. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Jacques. Vax Passes and Masks will be required.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Parish St. Jacques Cemetery Fund.
