Sadie went to her eternal rest at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre at Harbour Breton on October 26, 2021, age 75, formerly from Jersey Harbour.

Sadie leaves to mourn her loving family: husband, Leo, married 54 years; daughter, Wanda (Morley) at Harbour Breton; sons, Leo (Trina) at Paradise, NL., Keith (Tracey) at St. John’s and Paul (Diane) at Ottawa; special grandchildren, Sarah, Stephen, Andrew, Keegan and Jordan; step grandchildren, Lacey and Thomas; sisters, Leah Grandy, Goldie Quann (Sandy), all at Harbour Breton, and Mona Rose (John) at English Harbour West; brothers, Leo Grandy, George Grandy (Joan) and Raymond Grandy (Linda), all at Harbour Breton; sisters in law, Joyce Martin, Lillian Colombe, Kathleen Martin (Ray) and Annie Grandy; brother in law, Arthur Martin; plus a circle of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Sadie is predeceased by her parents, Mamie and Lloyd Grandy; brother, Joey; parents in law, Kathleen and Richard Martin; brothers in law, Reg Martin and Johnny Martin; sisters in law, Bridget Martin and Margaret Martin; niece, Lilly Day.

Visitation was held at Spencer’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 27 and Thursday, October 28 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. COVID 19 regulations were followed.

Funeral Service took place on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church at Harbour Breton with Father David Joy officiating. Cremation will follow. Burial will take place at a later date.
