Condolences

Condolence From: Lorna (Griffin), Matthew and Isobel Fillier
Condolence: Our sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. Aunt Audrey was a beautiful soul, filled with compassion and kindness, and so much hope. Even in the wake of immeasurable sadness, she showed a level of determination and resilience that was unmatched by many. I remember fondly the nights I would spend at her house during our summer visits to Harbour Brenton. I loved to sleepover because it meant I could listen to stories of Uncle Clar, riffle through her old photos and newspaper clippings, while hearing the most beautiful love story that was as fresh as the day it started. Your mom was a living example of the famous line from Alfred Tennyson’s “In Memoriam A.H.H.” poem - ‘Tis better to have loved and lost, Than never to have loved at all." I am so grateful that she was a part of my life and that I got to love to her too. My heart goes out to you and your families, as you navigate a life without her here. She will undoubtedly live on in your stories, your memories and your love for each other.

Condolence From: Uncle Ron and Aunt Hilda Griffin
Condolence: Sorry to hear about your mom's passing - it was so sudden. We were so glad that we had a chance to visit her when we were home. Even through all the pain, she still had a beautiful smile, showed tremendous kindness and was very encouraging. We have so many fond memories of our visits. We know it is not easy to part with her but she is at peace now, with her loved ones, especially your dad. We also know that someday we will see her again, to part no more. Hold on to and think of all the good times together. Jesus said in John 14, "I go to prepare a place for you and I will come again to receive you unto myself, that where I am, there you may be also." I believe her heavenly home was read and the Lord called her home. Well done thy good and faithful servant. Enter now into thy rest. Thinking about you and your families during this difficult time. May God give you peace and comfort in the days ahead.

Condolence: Dear Bonita, Michelle, family and friends, We are sending you our love and good thoughts during this sad time, to help with your healing and understanding. We are so grateful to have spent time with Audrey, such a courageous, selfless special lady. Her quiet voice of concern for all but herself, and her gentleness was a rare treasure. Audrey's calm smile will forever be carried in our hearts and memories. Mom will miss their long telehphone chats about the good ole days, and I will miss her laughter and that little twinkle in her eye that told me, she knew more about life than most people will ever understand. We love you Audrey. We will miss you... Love Always, Olive and Eunice xox
