Passed peacefully away, surrounded by his loving family, at the St Clare’s Mercy Hospital at St. John’s on Thursday, July 1, 2021, Ivan John Pierce, age 52 years, of Harbour Breton.

Ivan leaves to mourn his loving family: common law wife, Marie Skinner and her sons, Kerry(John) at Alberta and Matthew (Holly) at Harbour Breton; brothers, Wayne (Gloria), Keith (Jane), Barry (Bonita), Terry (Stephanie), Roderick (Terri Leigh) all at Harbour Breton and Danny at Halifax; sisters, Norma Loveless (Roderick) at Seal Cove, Wanda (Paul Gillingham) at Gambo and Colette Hickey (Brendan) at Harbour Breton; special nieces, Allie Rose and Charlie Averee Hickey, as well as a large number of other nieces and nephews; aunts, Margaret Annie Langdon (Allan) at Harbour Breton, Lottie Drakes at Riverport, NS, Theresa Marie Sheppard (Owen) at Stephenville, Ida Pierce and Effie Pierce, both at Harbour Breton; uncle, Jacob Simms at Harbour Breton;as well as a circle of other relatives and friends.

Ivan was predeceased by his wife, Rosemary; his parents, Rosalie and Norman Pierce; little niece, Averee Pierce; brother in law, Silas Baker; as well as a number of other relatives.

Visitation took place at Spencer's Funeral Home on Monday, July 5 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Tuesday, July 6 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. COVID19 regulations were followed.

Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, July 7 at 2:00 pm at St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church at Harbour Breton with Rev. Bruce Vallis officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
