It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bessie Winnifred Cox announces her passing at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Center in Harbour Breton on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, age 78 years, of Wreck Cove.

Bessie leaves to mourn her loving family: husband, Norman, of 60 years; brother, Frank Banfield (Linda) at St. John’s; sisters in law, Joyce Keeping and Hilda Cox; brother in law, Garfield Cox; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Predeceased by her parents, Theodore and Susie Banfield; father and mother in law, William and Evelyn Cox; sister, Jane Taylor; brothers in law, Cyril Taylor, Philip Cox, Benjamin Cox, Charles Keeping, Wilfred Cumben and George Samuel Lawrence; sisters in law, Sarah, Elizabeth and Bertha; a number of other relatives and friends.

Private Family Visitation at All Saints Anglican Church, Wreck Cove from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 26, 2020. Public Visitations with COVID 19 guidelines from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, November 26, 2020 and on Friday, November 27 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 2:30 pm from All Saints Anglican Church at Wreck Cove with Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery, Wreck Cove.
