Precious memories linger through the years of her kind treatment and generosity when we were ministers at Pool's Cove in the 1970's. She was a very warm and caring person. She is now with the Lord. Condolence: The world is a little less brighter today now that Kathleen AKA "Kashie" has left us. One less bright candle in the world will be missed by all. Memories of summer holidays to Pools Cove as a kid and Kashie,(who lived next to my Nan Williams, another one of a kind candle), standing on her front porch calling out in that one of a kind "Kashie" voice, "What ya doing Trev" and the smile and warmth that she brought will never be forgotten. A fond memory.... As a kid on summer holidays, Kashie even let me charge my Pop and Chips to "my account" at the shop one day. Only thing is I didn't have an account. I just thought because everyone else in the community was going into the shop and charging things on their account, I could do the same. "What a nifty thing I thought to myself", I could come here everyday and order pop and chips from Kashie, not pay a dime and just say "charge it to my account Kashie". Well dear Kashie let it go the first day and I got my pop and chips on "my account", but she didn't forget to tell mother about her new customer. Needless to say that was the end of charging pop and chips to "my account" but I have to say, that was the best pop and chips I have had in my life. Thanks Kashie, you were one of a kind!
