It is with overwhelming sadness that the family of Shelley Marie (Hoskins) Taylor, loving and cherished wife of Cory Taylor, announce her passing on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Born on April 21, 1972, in St. John’s, NL, she was the daughter of Agatha (Barnes) and the late Felix Hoskins.

Shelley was an inspiration to all and was loved dearly by everyone who knew her.

Along with her husband, Cory, and mother, Agatha, Shelley will be mourned by her siblings: Roy (Beverley) Hoskins, Bruce (Monica) Hoskins, Ann (Calvin) Strickland and Karen (Cosmos) MacDonald. Also, left to mourn are her father and mother in-law, Roy and Elizabeth Taylor, sister in-law, Tammy (Terry) Baker and brother in-law, Ernie (Beth) Taylor.

She will be forever remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, special friends in Newfoundland and New Brunswick and especially her furry friend, Jake.

Along with her father, Felix, Shelley is predeceased by her 2 furry friends, Maggie and Sally.

Our family would like to give thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Saint John Regional Hospital who have cared for Shelley and our family over the years.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) and Spencer’s Funeral Home, St. Alban’s, NL (709-885-2609).

Visitation was held at Spencer's Funeral Home, St. Alban's, NL on Thursday, May 9, 2019 between 6:00-9:00 pm.

Funeral Service took place Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Ignatius Church, St. Alban's, NL, with Father Patrick officiating. Inurnment will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery at a later date.


Memorial donations in Shelley’s memory can be made towards the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Kidney Foundation or the SPCA.
